Pitney Bowes Design Thinking Boot Camp

As part of our continued dedication to education, the Pitney Bowes User Experience team hosted a Design Thinking Boot Camp with students from Baruch College. Over 40 students attended, ranging from undergrad to grad with many diverse majors (MBA, Data, Tech, Accounting). The facilitators transformed the event from in-person to virtual through an online platform where they were able to communicate with the students via video chat as well as breaking out into smaller groups to accommodate for brainstorm sessions.

Pitney Bowes facilitators and user experience designers, Nitya Pannala, Cassie Gunn and Nina Keoborakot gave a 45-minute overview of a design thinking which reviewed:
• Client-center design thinking
• Behaviors of design thinkers
• Tools and skills of design thinkers
The content was delivered in a bite-sized format that explained in detail how each part plays within a design thinking journey. The session included breakouts and group brainstorm session using the MURAL tool. Teams used Design Thinking practices to further breakdown the topic “What’s it like to learn remotely”
